I just read up a post on the International Blog Delurking Week and was most intrigued by this concept. Googled the word “delurking” and got this amazing definition from Techopedia which really puts a fresh perspective on this blog hop which is being hosted by a fellow blogger Parul who writes some of the most amazing content that I love to read. Personal tid bits and musings that will infuse a feeling of freedom from the oppressiveness of the societal “have-to”. Do stop by her blog to read her insightful personal thoughts.

Ok back to “delurking” πŸ˜‰ It basically means that you need to stop lurking around and come on down to say a Hello to me. I mean whats the point of just stopping by if you are not going to let me know you were here? I love to know when you drop over but since the only way I come to know of that is if you drop me a comment in the box below; please do just that.

You don’t have to say Hi – I was here!! I want to know more about WHY you were here and WHAT were your expectations and HOW were they met or not met.

No no – I am not admonishing you like a school principal.Β Far from it! I am merely looking to see if my intent of writing is well met with the expectations of my readers? Is my content impressive? How would you rate it in terms of language, topic, information, etc? Oh and what do you think of how my blog looks like – the colours, photography, fonts, graphics? You know I work very hard to make it all look tidy yet bright – am I accomplishing that? What would you like to see more or less of on my blog?

Okay so you can call me greedy for more as I know so many of you have stopped by to drop me a line or two; words of encouragement and praise.

I want so much more – I want to hear that all is well with this blog and its the best there is. I want to hear how my travel posts fill you with envy at all the places I have travelled. Or the amazing food & drink experiences that I have collated here are just mind-blowing hot. Or how is it that I come up with such awesome content every time. Dont forget to pat me on my back for my photography. πŸ˜‰

So now you have the drift of the reason why this blog post has been written. Adulation, accolades and unadulterated praise is what I am looking for – so what are you waiting for?

I have one of the most amazing blogging journeys so far wrote a guest on it for Varsha’s blog) courtesy all the blogging friends I have made who selflessly share and help a tech retard like me; who tell me when I am going wrong and who don’t forget to praise me when I have got it right!

Cheers to all my blogging peers & friends. Do join in this bloghop and link back with Parul & don’t forget to use this badge in your post.

  1. I honestly was not even aware such a thing as a delurking week existed all these years.. but yes, It is a must have when you think about it… the vast majority of our readers tend to just go away without commenting.

  2. You are doing a great job. There are some great posts about places to visit within and outside india. A lot of them are easy to miss if you don’t have all the information you need.

  3. If I’m not wrong 2017 was when I met you(virtually). I loved your travel tales and creative posts the most. Something I admire about you is how genuinely you make an effort to comment meaningfully and encourage other bloggers. Yours truly included πŸ™‚

  5. “Delurking Week” has been “a thing” for the past three years I know of and I think this is one of the best “please delurk” post I’ve read. (Now, I’ve used up my quota of quotation marks, so no more). I am facing a challenging period of caregiving in my life and am not going to be reading many blogs in the immediate future. But I have visited you from time to time, and hope to continue to, as I can.
