Three Movies

I love watching movies and escaping into the make-believe world, even if for a few hours and hot buttered popcorn makes it all the better. I am going to put down three of my all time favourite movies; tough to do as I have a HUGE list of movies that I love to death but I will try to limit it to three for this post.

  1. Notting Hill” Its like I have taken Love heroin, and now I can’t ever have it again.” Gosh! this is my go-to movie for a heartbreak, rainy day, bad mood or just plain old mood for romance-day! I love the way an ordinary guy gets to be so extraordinary with a celebrity whom he doesn’t even dream of ever meeting. Their romance has a charm, heartbreak and heart feel that’s so real and surreal!!
  2. Eat, Pray, Love” You are wishin’ too  much baby. You gotto stop wearing your wishbone where your backbone oughtta be.” I don’t know how many times I have watched this movie and felt its my life unfolding in front of my eyes with all the reasoning for all the disasters and all the characters that have come into my life. I love the way the heroine admits and accepts all the mistakes and errors of her life, then stops feeling guilty, lets go of all her fears and finally allows herself to feel again.
  3. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge – My list can’t be complete without this ultimate tribute to modern-day Indian love story – this is what my dreams are made of! I yearn for a romance like this movie and maybe just maybe it could be with Shahrukh Khan!!! 😉 Jokes apart, I watch this movie every time it comes on telly and don’t miss it till the end!

So do you have a favourite movie? Maybe I havent heard of them ? So wont you share them with me please?

  1. Nice one!Reminded me of my favourite movies too! One of my fav is an old tamil film-Mouna Ragam.Soft romance touching the heart!Cant get tired of it! Another one is Rajni film-Basha-an all time fav.

  2. An even split! One I absolutely love (Notting Hill), one I didn’t care for (Eat. Pray. Love.), and one I’ve never heard of (the last one). I’ll have to check Netflix to see if they’ve got it to check out. Thanks for the suggestion!

    1. Ha ha Susan… I am sure you will find an english subtitled copy if it but I don’t know how much would you relate to it as its a typical hindi movie fare… If you do watch it, would love to hear abt it.
